We all want perfect conditions for making silage, but some harvests are more challenging than others. SiloSolve® MC excels in tough ensiling conditions, including low dry matter, wet crops, at risk of slurry or soil contamination, and low sugar content – helping you to maximise even the most difficult cuts.
Strains matter, and SiloSolve® MC uses three unique bacteria strains:
Lactococcus lactis (SR3.54) inhibits clostridia and other spoilage organisms, enhances protein preservation, and reduces dry matter losses.
Lactobacillus plantarum (CH6072) enhances fibre digestion.
Enterococcus faecium (DSM 22502) inhibits the growth of yeasts and moulds.
SiloSolve® MC consistently improves fermentation which leads to a significant increase in milk production. Cows fed SiloSolve® MC treated maize silage had increased efficiency of milk production through an 8% reduction in dry matter intake and a 2% increase in energy corrected milk (ECM) yield. A similar response was observed in cows fed SiloSolve® MC treated alfalfa.
With slurry still on the field, Adam Sills faced a serious risk of contamination in his grass silage. To tackle this, he turned to SiloSolve® MC, a silage inoculant with a unique bacterial strain designed to reduce clostridia from slurry while controlling yeasts and moulds.
The outcome? “It wasn’t just good silage – it was terrific!”
Yes, SiloSolve® MC is organic certified by The Soil Association and OF&G.
SiloSolve® MC is suitable for all forage crops, including wholecrop, maize, small grain, grasses and alfalfa/grass mixtures.
SiloSolve® MC is unlike any other additive. It contains a unique patented strain of bacteria called Lactococcus lactis (SR3.54) exclusive to Novonesis (formerly Chr Hansen).
This makes SiloSolve® MC the only silage additive proven to reduce clostridia fermentation (caused by soil or slurry contamination) and reduce dry matter losses.
Yes, it is suitable for ultra low volume and standard harvester applicators.
Yes, SiloSolve® MC is suitable for big bales, as well as silage clamps.
